Overview

Vitara is designed to help you view Apple Health data and generate optional AI-powered health insights. We only access health data after you grant permission through Apple Health.

Vitara is not a medical app or medical device. Dashboards, AI summaries, and chat answers are for informational reference only and do not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Health Data

Vitara reads selected Apple Health data locally through HealthKit after you grant permission in iOS. Depending on the features you enable, this may include activity, workouts, heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, sleep, mindfulness, body measurements, mobility, hearing, hydration, and dietary energy data.

This data is used to display dashboards, trends, metric detail screens, AI summaries, chat answers, scheduled analysis, and local history inside the app. Health data is not used for advertising or tracking.

Vitara does not sell health data. Vitara does not use health data for advertising or tracking.

AI Analysis

AI features are optional. On supported devices, Vitara can use Apple Intelligence for on-device AI analysis without requiring an API key. You can also choose to configure a custom OpenAI-compatible LLM endpoint.

Before Vitara sends personal data to a custom AI service, the app explains what data may be sent, identifies the configured recipient endpoint/provider, and asks for your permission.

When you allow AI data sharing and use a custom endpoint for AI analysis, chat, AI insight bubbles, or scheduled analysis, Vitara may send selected Apple Health summaries, metric values, workout/sleep/activity context, enabled Memory entries, your prompt text, and chat context needed to answer your request to the OpenAI-compatible LLM endpoint that you configure in the app.

Vitara does not operate a backend AI proxy and does not store AI request data on a Vitara server. When you choose a custom third-party endpoint, that provider processes the data according to its own privacy, security, and retention terms. You should only configure an AI provider that you trust and that provides privacy and security protections equivalent to those you expect for personal health data.

AI-generated content may be incomplete or incorrect. For medical concerns, abnormal symptoms, or urgent questions, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Local Storage

Vitara stores app configuration, AI analysis history, chat sessions, analysis templates, AI response language preferences, scheduled analysis settings, Memory entries, and memory settings locally on your device using Apple frameworks such as SwiftData. Custom LLM API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. Deleting the app deletes local app data from the device, subject to standard iOS backup and restore behavior.

Diagnostics

Vitara may collect crash and performance diagnostics to improve app reliability. Diagnostics are not used for advertising or tracking.

Subscriptions

Vitara Pro purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Website Analytics

The Vitara website may use basic analytics to understand page usage and improve the site. Website analytics are separate from Apple Health data in the app.

Your Choices

You can change Apple Health permissions in the iOS Settings app. You can delete local app data by deleting the app from your device. You can remove or change custom LLM endpoints in Vitara settings.

You can revoke custom-endpoint AI data sharing permission in Vitara's AI Settings. Vitara asks for permission again if you change the configured AI endpoint or model.
